Be careful to avoid burns. We suggest the use of leather gloves when\r\nfocusing these luminaires.\r\nSAFETY - Mains Power Isolation: The Acclaim range is fitted with a micro-switch that automatically\r\ndisconnects the mains power when the lamp holder is removed. However, it is also recommended that the\r\nluminaire always be electrically isolated from mains power before re-lamping, cleaning or servicing.\r\nCAUTION: Risk of fire - Use with max 650 watt lamp\r\nThese luminaires are not suitable for outdoor use. They are rated at IP00\r\nThe luminaire should be at least 1.0 metres away from the nearest object it is lighting.\r\n= 90o\r\nThe Acclaim range can be operated only through a range of angles 90\u00B0 either side of horizontal.\r\nMounting your luminaire\r\nA safety bond MUST always be used when rigging luminaires on bars, ladders, etc. The safety bond is\r\npassed through the luminaire lamp-house anchor hole located at the rear of the luminaire and around the\r\nbar. This is the only recommended anchor point for the luminaire. Be careful to allow sufficient slack to\r\nallow the luminaire to be focused freely.\r\nPlease note also that the maximum tilt angles of the Acclaim Axial Zoomspot is 90\u00B0\r\neither side of horizontal.\r\nTo mount on a theatre standard scaffold pipe\r\n(48mm \/ 1 29\/32# O.D.) Use a theatre hookclamp (Order Code: 20HC). Your\r\nluminaire is supplied with an M12 set screw, two washers and a nut. Pass the set\r\nscrew through the yoke hole from the inside, put on a washer, then the hookclamp,\r\nanother washer and then tighten the nut.\r\nTo mount on a telescopic stand\r\nReverse the yoke under the luminaire and bolt the stand's spigot onto the set screw. (Stand Order Code: STDTH)\r\nAdjustable Yoke\r\nAdjustable yoke # The position of the yoke can be altered to anywhere along the length of the luminaire lamphouse.\r\nTo move the yoke, loosen off the T-locking tilt handle and the M8 nylock nut on the opposite side. Also loosen the 2\r\nscrews on the Yoke locking disc on the handle side of the luminaire. Slide the yoke to the desired position and\r\ntighten the M8 nut, screws and T-handle taking care to check that they are opposite each other.\r\nPlease note that as the handles and knobs on the Acclaim range can reach high temperatures depending on\r\nthe position or orientation of the luminaire. Gloves should always be worn when focusing these luminaires.\r\n\r\nLamps\r\n220 # 240V 115V\r\nGKV 600w, 400hrs av. life - theatre lamp. GLC 575w, 400hrs av. life - theatre lamp.\r\nGLB 600w, 1500 hrs av. .life # display lamp GLA 575w, 1500hrs av. life - display lamp\r\n\r\nIsolate electrically before re-lamping the luminaire. Also be aware that the lamp or luminaire may still be hot, so\r\nexercise necessary caution to avoid burns.\r\nN.B. Luminaire cables # your Selecon luminaire is fitted with special heat resistant flexible cable, replace with\r\ngenuine Selecon spare part cable kit only # refer to your Selecon distributor. (Replacement cables are supplied\r\ncomplete with necessary terminal connectors).\r\nCable conductor colour codes: Brown - Phase, Live\r\nBlue -Neutral, return\r\nGreen\/Yellow -Earth\r\n\r\nOperation\r\nLamping Procedure\r\nRemove the rear casting by loosening the 2 thumbscrews on the rear of\r\nthe casting. Gently remove the old lamp. Align the pins of the new lamp\r\nto the holes in the lamp socket and push the lamp firmly home. Do not\r\ntouch the quartz envelope of the lamp with your fingers # use the plastic\r\nsheath supplied to insert the lamp. Replace the casting and tighten the\r\nlocking screws. Reconnect the mains power. Always take great care\r\nwhen making adjustments to the lamp, as its filament is fragile.\r\nPan and Tilt Adjustment\r\nTo pan the luminaire, loosen the wingnut and adjust, then retighten. To\r\ntilt, loosen the locking clamp handle on the side of the luminaire, tilt and retighten\r\nfinger tight.\r\nThe tilt lock friction is set by the nylock nut that secures the yoke on the opposite\r\nside to the tilt handle. The tilt friction can be adjusted by loosening or tightening up\r\nthe nylock nut.\r\nFocusing your Zoomspot\r\nThe variable beam of your Zoomspot is altered by adjusting the front and rear lens\r\nin relation to each other. The front lens defines the beam spread; the rear, the\r\nfocus degree or softness or sharpness of the beam edge or shutters. Finger tight\r\npressure is only necessary to lock the lens off in their chosen positions. Note: for a sharp edge on the wide\r\nzoomspot, set the front lens about 70mm from the front of the slot and then adjust the rear lens until you have a hard\r\nedge.\r\nPeak\/Flat Light Distribution\r\nThe lamp position can be altered to peak or flatten the light output of\r\nZoomspots. The peak beam gives a central hot spot falling off evenly to the\r\nbeam edges. This setting is useful for normal stage lighting purposes where\r\nbeams are overlapped to achieve an even cover. Flat adjustment provides a\r\nvisually even light beam suitable for gobo projection. Take care to move the\r\nlamp carefully as the lamp filament is burning hot and at its most vulnerable.\r\n# Point luminaire at blank white wall 4-8 metres (12 # 15 feet) away and\r\nfocus light to narrow angle # front lens forward rear lens back. To obtain\r\nsharp focus adjusts rear lens only.\r\n# Adjust lamp peak\/flat knob until you reach the desired distribution.\r\n# If the #peak# is not in the centre of the beam then slowly turn one of the\r\nthree Lamp Tilt Gears to move the #peak# into the centre of the beam.\r\nPattern Projection\r\nThe rotatable pattern holder comprises the holder and a spring clip to hold the\r\npattern flat against the holder. The holder can be rotated in the slot to align the\r\nimage as required on the stage.\r\nNOTE: The Acclaim range uses #M# size patterns, with an image diameter of 50mm\r\nThe accessory mounting slot will also house an adjustable Iris or a motorised Gobo\r\nholder (Rosco\/ DHA RTR008).\r\nTo mount the accessory in the aperture slot ensure the pattern spring clip is facing to the front of the luminaire and\r\nslide into the slots formed as part of the shutter plates.\r\nShutter System\r\nThe shutters are used to mask a portion of the beam shaping it, masking light off scenery, curtains, etc. Your\r\nAcclaim profile features non-removable shutters whilst still providing a very wide range of masking angles.\r\nRemember the optical system inverts all images at the gate, i.e. the top shutter on the luminaire masks the bottom\r\npart of the light beam.\r\nNOTE: Do not run the luminaire with all the shutters closed, as this may cause the\r\nluminaire to over-heat.\r\nInterchangeable Lens Trays\r\nThe variable lens tray assemblies are interchangeable so you can change a 18-34\r\nluminaire to a 24-44. Open the tray, with the tray hanging down, lift up and out to free the\r\nhinge.\r\nVersion 2: September 2004 # 2004 Selecon New Zealand Limited All Rights Reserved 4\r\nMaintenance\r\nLens - The assembly can be removed out of the luminaire, clean with a soft cloth. To remove baked on dust use a\r\nwindow cleaner. This is only maintenance task which can be safely carried out by non approved personnel. Refer\r\nbelow # safety & maintenance note.\r\nAccessories\r\nSuspension Hookclamp (Order Code 20HC).\r\nSafety Chain (Order Code 20SC)\r\nLens Safety Mesh (Order Code 15ACSM)\r\nRotatable gobo holder (Order Code 15ACGH)\r\nAdjustable Iris (Order Code 15ACIRIS)\r\nInterchangeable lens tray - Standard (Order Code 15ACLTS)\r\nInterchangeable lens tray - Wide (Order Code 15ACLTW)\r\nColour Frame # each luminaire is supplied with a 125mm (4 7\/8 inch)\r\nsquare colour filter holder.
