Build powerful low-frequency systems with the Power Dynamics PD18C 18-inch ferrite woofer. Featuring a 4″ copper voice coil, robust ferrite magnet, aluminium basket and glass-fibre reinforced paper cone, it delivers controlled long-excursion performance ideal for high-power subwoofers and bass reflex designs. With 1000W RMS handling and 8 Ohm impedance, this driver is a solid choice for Australian installers and production companies creating impactful live sound and venue systems.

The Power Dynamics PD18C is a high-performance 18-inch ferrite woofer engineered for demanding low-frequency applications across Australian live events, nightclubs, worship venues and fixed installations.

Designed around long excursion and precise control, this driver combines a 4″ inside-outside copper voice coil with a substantial ferrite magnet and glass-fibre reinforced paper cone. The aluminium basket further reduces unwanted magnetic interference, delivering clean, powerful bass reproduction even when pushed hard.

With 1000W RMS and 2000W peak power handling plus an 8 Ohm nominal impedance, the PD18C gives system designers and cabinet builders a reliable foundation for both passive and active subwoofer enclosures. Its frequency response of 33Hz–2000Hz covers the essential low end with authority, making it equally at home in two-way speaker systems or dedicated bass reflex designs.

The radial cone shape and robust construction ensure the woofer maintains composure during high-excursion moments, critical for music with deep drops and high SPL requirements. At just 12.8kg and with a mounting diameter of 424mm and depth of 194mm, it remains practical to integrate into road-worthy or permanent cabinets without excessive weight penalties.

Whether you’re assembling portable PA stacks for regional festivals or specifying permanent sound systems for entertainment venues, the PD18C offers the balance of power, control and value that Australian pro audio professionals trust.
