The LD Systems MAUI 44G2 offers a practical, powerful, column PA system solution for professional bands and DJs.

The flagship of the MAUI series, MAUI 44G2 boasts an enormous 1500 watts of total output power (RMS). As well as a frequency response of 37Hz to 20kHz, and a sound pressure level (SPL) of 132 dB (peak). With its outstanding sound properties and wide-ranging functions, the MAUI 44G2 is perfect for rental companies, musicians, small clubs, festivals, and permanent installations. Add in the cardioid properties and the possibility of creating a cardioid bass with an additional subwoofer, and you only further highlight the professional nature of MAUI 44G2.

What’s more, the two-part column includes twelve 3.5″ neodymium full-range speakers; as well as four 1″ HF drivers with a waveguide. Phase plugs featured on the six upper drivers improve horizontal directivity, reduce distortion, and optimize sensitivity below the crossover frequency for the tweeters. Additionally, the four tweeters feature specially designed and optimized compression drivers. Providing 120 degrees of coverage across the width, and 25 degrees of focused vertical directivity. The MAUI 44G2 is Truly Wireless, therefore, making it so much easier when using it as a permanent fixture. Enabling two systems to be wirelessly connected for stereo reproduction. On top of that, HD Bluetooth streaming is no problem at all thanks to aptX and AAC codec. While the DynX DSP technology ensures distortion-free sound reproduction, even at the highest volumes. So whatever the situation, you’ll get a perfectly balanced sound, crystal-clear treble, crisp mid-range, and powerful bass!

Another great feature of the MAUI 44G2 is its automatic setup recognition. So if you remove the column to use the subwoofer as a slave; MAUI 44G2’s display will automatically jump to SLAVE. Then, functions such as Bluetooth and controls for the MAIN and SUB will no longer appear.

When it comes to transportation and mobile use, the MAUI 44G2 is absolutely top class. Assembly is quick and easy, and there’s no need for annoying cables or stands – special multi-pin connections are used instead. While the entire column and subwoofer weigh a total of less than 48kg. That’s 20% less than the original MAUI 44 to be exact! There’s also an optionally available transport roller board, carry bag and subwoofer cover that offers excellent protection for day-to-day use.

In terms of ins and outs, the MAUI 44G2 offers 2 XLR ins, while 2 XLR outputs enable a wired stereo configuration of two systems. There’s also an additional SUB OUT so you can hook up an additional subwoofer. While the power supply is via a secure and reliable powerCon connection.
