Outline Ai 81 2-Way Ultra-Slim Passive Column Loudspeaker
SKU
O1AI81
The Outline Ai 81 is an ultra-slim 2-way passive column loudspeaker that delivers professional audio performance from a discreet 46mm-wide profile. Featuring eight neodymium full-range drivers and a silk dome tweeter in a symmetrical MTM array, it provides exceptional clarity, 160° horizontal coverage and controlled vertical directivity. Perfect for restaurants, museums, conference venues and architectural installations where invisible high-quality sound is essential.
The Outline Ai 81 brings studio-grade clarity to architectural spaces where visible technology simply isn’t an option. This ultra-slim passive column loudspeaker measures only 46 mm wide, allowing it to disappear into pillars, walls and millwork while still delivering powerful, intelligible sound for speech and background music.
At the heart of the Ai 81 is a symmetrical MTM array of eight 1.3-inch neodymium full-range drivers paired with a 0.7-inch treated silk dome tweeter. The configuration produces even coverage with a wide 160° horizontal dispersion and a tightly controlled 40° vertical pattern that keeps sound off ceilings and floors, greatly improving intelligibility in reflective environments such as museums, restaurants and boardrooms.
With 320 W AES power handling and a maximum SPL of 112 dB, a single Ai 81 has no trouble filling mid-sized zones. Its 16-ohm impedance is particularly practical: up to eight units can be driven from one amplifier channel, making large-scale distributed systems both cost-effective and simple to wire using the 2-pin Euroblock connectors.
Built from hydrophobic compact density fibre and finished in durable black polyurethane, the cabinet shrugs off humidity and looks elegant for permanent install. The epoxy-coated galvanised steel grille offers excellent protection while remaining visually unobtrusive. Multiple mounting points on the front and rear allow flexible installation via brackets or custom fixtures, and custom RAL colours are available so the speaker can match any interior design exactly.
Whether you are outfitting a heritage-listed gallery, a modern conference centre or a discreet corporate lobby, the Outline Ai 81 gives system designers the perfect combination of near-invisible form and genuinely professional audio performance.
