Outline Mantas 28 Vertical Line Array Enclosure
The Outline Mantas 28 is a compact, high-output vertical line array element that delivers exceptional clarity and powerful SPL for medium-throw applications reaching up to 60 metres. Despite its small footprint, it provides a wide 120° horizontal coverage and impressive volume, making it perfect for theatres, medium-sized festivals and indoor sports venues. Fully compatible with Superfly, GTO and C-12 systems, it can be used as a main array or as delay, side-fill or down-fill.
The Outline Mantas 28 brings serious power and precision to any mid-sized live event or fixed installation. This compact vertical line array element is engineered for applications that demand high clarity and strong output across distances up to 60 metres, making it a favourite for theatres, indoor sports arenas and medium-scale festivals.
Despite its modest 24 kg weight and 278 mm height, the Mantas 28 produces an impressive 139 dB SPL from a single cabinet and scales smoothly to 151 dB with just four boxes. Its 120° horizontal coverage ensures even audience coverage without the need for excessive units, while the array-dependent vertical control lets engineers tailor the pattern precisely for the venue.
Built around two 8-inch neodymium mid-woofers and a 3-inch compression driver mounted on Outline’s proprietary D.P.R.W.G. waveguide, the system reproduces mid and high frequencies with outstanding intelligibility and low distortion. Bi-amped operation with 400 W AES on the mids and 110 W on the highs gives system designers plenty of headroom for dynamic performances.
Seamless integration is another strength. The Mantas 28 is fully compatible with Outline’s Superfly line array as well as larger GTO and C-12 systems, allowing it to be deployed as the main PA, flown delays, side fills or down-fills. Integrated high-load aluminium rigging hardware makes flying quick and safe, while the robust Baltic birch cabinet with hard-wearing black polyurea finish stands up to life on the road.
Whether you’re mixing for a 1,500-seat theatre or a lively outdoor festival stage, the Mantas 28 delivers the sonic performance and practical flexibility professional audio teams rely on.
